This month’s ‘Meet the Team’ interview features Project and Risk Manager, Lisa Fildew as she explains her role, the new office move and what’s so good about a compact SUV…

Tell us a little about yourself

I’ve been working at Dealerweb for over five years after leaving my old positions as a team leader at a social housing company, to start a new challenge. When I’m not juggling multiple projects at work, I’m normally out in the beautiful Devon countryside walking Tyson, my Jackhuahua (Jack Russel-Chihuahua mix) or keeping fit through pole and trampoline fitness.

What does your job entail?

A large part of my role is to manage key projects for the company, including coordinating the maintenance and development of the Volvo Kompass enquiry management system. Having recently been promoted to Project and Risk Manager, I’ve also overseen our ISO 27001 accreditation and made sure that the business stays compliant with all aspects of data security.

What do you like most about your role?

I love the beginning stages of starting a big project – making sure all stages and KPIs are clearly laid out for all to follow. Needless to say, I’m a big fan of a GANNT chart!
Even though it’s quite a move from my normal day-to-day activities, I’ve also enjoyed the work I’ve been doing managing the new move to Exeter Science Park – it’s added a few new strings to my bow and it’s uniquely rewarding being able to manage something tangible that is literally growing from the ground up. I can’t wait for the big move soon!

Book

I enjoy reading a lot of chick lit, notably Sophie Kinsella and her Shopaholic series. I’ve also recently got into audiobooks and really enjoyed listing to Jojo Moyes’ Me Before You.

Film

Having just come out of the festive period, I’ve forgotten how much I love a Christmas film –the new Grinch did not disappoint! Other than that, two classics that come to mind are Save the Last Dance and of course – Dirty Dancing!

Place

It might be cheating, but as a keen cruise-goer, part of the appeal is being able to visit more than one place on one holiday. The best one for me was my honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean and getting to see some unforgettable tropical islands like Haiti, Saint Martin and Puerto Rico.

Car

I wouldn’t say I have a ‘dream car’, but I do have my heart set on a compact SUV – something that’s not much larger than your average car but with a decent amount of much-needed storage. A Volvo XC40 would suit me nicely.
